A Message From the Director

Welcome to DanceFuzion!

As the Director of DanceFuzion, it is my goal to promote the education and the artistry of dance. I wish to share my knowledge and passion for dance and my love for teaching with dance communities around the world. By providing a program that is focused on technical training fused with a variety of necessary styles to create diversity in physical expression, individuals of all ages are encouraged to explore the boundaries of their artistry. All of our faculty members are chosen for their esteemed world wide experience and knowledge. Not only are they experienced in the professional world of entertainment, they also genuinely love to teach children and are experience in working with them. I believe that dance education is more than just dance training. It is life training! Each and every day, I am grateful to all of you have chosen to include DanceFuzion as part of your dance education experience!

Directed by critically acclaimed choreographer and dance educator, Annie Wood, DanceFuzion is dedicated to excellence in dance education, artistic expression and the development of young dancers today.

DanceFuzion provides a 2 day Intensive Fall Workshop Series across Canada, Summer Dance Intensives and Teacher Intensive programs for competitive and pre-professional dancers.

In addition, there are recreational dance classes and dance camps for children looking to learn some cool new moves, build self confidence and most of all, have a blast!

DanceFuzion programs focus on the fundamental principles of technical dance training and the artistry and expression of dance. We continue to build our dance community in Canada by connecting with dancers across the nation! DanceFuzion is not just a workshop. It is a family, as well as an incredible dance experience! For many years we have had the aswesome excitement of working in showbiz! From choreographing shows to performing on stage, in television and in film to teaching master classes at several prestigious studios internationally. We have had the opportunity to listen to the feedback of teachers, students, parents, choreographers, performers, and other key players on the scene. Through many conversations and dance weekends, we have come to understand the needs of talented up and coming performers, studio directors and teachers. We believe it is our responsibility to share with the dance community at large, our knowledge of the industry, passion for dance and guidance to the thriving artists of tomorrow.

Combined, our faculty has worked with some of the most talented artists in the industry. Stars such as N Sync, Christina Aguleira, BackStreet Boys, Aaron Carter, OTown, Puff Daddy and Jay Z to name a few. On broadway and internationally in productions including Fosse, Beauty and the Beast, Hit me With A Hot Note, West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors, Tokyo Disney, Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Carribean and Princess Cruise LinesAlso our Faculty has appeared in feature films including John Q with Denzel Washington, All That Glitters with Mariah Carey, SuperStar, Blues Brothers 2000, Chicago with Catherine Zeta Jones and many others!
